Welcome to our video gallery, this is the perfect place to get to know us.
Perceived Danger
These pups and dogs belong to a dog listening colleague and are already
a happy relaxed group of dogs. In this clip they are relaxing and playing
together. When a loud house alarm goes off, Tax, the yellow lab becomes alert
and the pups follow his example. Once their heightened state of alert was
acknowledged with a 'thank you' they resumed what they were doing, no longer
concerned. This is how it can be with dogs that have confidence in their human
leader. Many dogs have a much more exaggerated response because they feel that
as well as being alert to potential danger they also need to decide what to do
about it.
Stop Start Change Direction
Stop start change direction is a key time for giving clear leadership signals. Ellie has progressed enough to be able to leave home. When she thinks she is the leader of the pack she has a tendency to go off hunting. I don’t want her to fail so although she is doing well I used a long line. She has more freedom but I still have control.
Walking Together - The Very Nice Dogs Pack
It feels so good when your dogs are happy to walk with you.
Bobbie Inviting Ellie to Play
For the first 3 months these two did not get along. Now they have a great time together though Bobbie can be a pest at times.
Bobbie and Oscar Playing
Both Bobbie and Oscar can get so excited that they get manic so play times have to be short. This time they did very well and had a great chase.
Fraser Shows Who's Boss
The first several months that Bobbie was with us she was always trying to chase Fraser. For a long time he just kept out of the way. But Fraser is a cat that thinks he is a dog. He had a great friendship with Sally, the spaniel. He would come for walk with us. So he is intent on making friends. And Bobbie is coming around. I’m sure we will find them curled up together one day.
Charlie Playing with a Stick
It has been good to see Charlie relaxed enough to play. And, of course, play is good exercise.
Sally Rolling
Sally loved to roll. She would be in such a hurry to get down on the heather or grass that she would almost do a somersault.
Oscar Meets Fraser the Cat
Oscar has a lot of problems but cats isn’t one of them.
